financial support, volunteer time and prayer. There is a place for YOU to give a
hand up to a woman in need!

Kerr County Christian Women's Job Corps always has a need for volunteers. There are many areas of service but two of the most needed are teachers and lunch volunteers.
CWJC assists women desiring independence and self-
You may help in the following ways:
Prayer Support
Each participant, mentor, volunteer, and teacher needs ongoing prayer
support.
Mentors
Critical to the success of each woman enrolled in CWJC is the support they
receive through a personal mentor who serves an a friend, encourager and spiritual
supporter. Mentor training is provided.
Bible Study
One element that sets CWJC apart from other training programs is daily
in-
Teaching
Leaders are needed to teach basic life skills and job readiness classes such
as budgeting, appropriate dress, interview skills and computer. Teaching experience
is NOT required.
Other Needs
Participants often need childcare, transportation, haircuts, career clothes,
eyeglasses, dental work, etc. You may help by providing these services or by providing
financial support for these services.
Job Placement
Suitable employment for the women must be found once they have completed
their training. Please contact us to interview our graduates for job openings you
have.
Volunteer Opportunities
Assistance is needed in [1] providing lunch for the class
each day during the 12 week session [2] providing prayer support [3] serving as a
personal mentor [4] providing administrative support [5] teaching or assisting in
the classroom [6] helping with special events, including graduation and our annual
spring style show [7] providing items for our food pantry, professional clothing
closet and/or personal needs basket [8] providing financial support.
